For normal to coarse hair use Cold Wave Regular strength, for coarse to resistant hair use Cold Wave Ultimate strength. Coldwave softens hair by breaking the Disulfide bonds to straighten hair and prepare it for roding to form a bigger curl pattern. With proper maintenance and moisture retention Leisure Curl Cold wave can be used alone as a very mild relaxer on certain hair textures.
